Wynonna Earp Season 4: The Fight Is On!

Last updated: Wednesday, June 19 at 11 a.m. Eastern

#FightForWynonna Update – Day 118: June 19

It’s been quite a bit since our last update but Earpers have continued to be strong and resilient in the #FightForWynonna. Call it a sign of all the goodwill and positivity of Earp Expo, but we FINALLY got the good news this morning that Season 3 of Wynonna Earp will be arriving on Netflix on Tuesday, July 16. So mark those calendars!

However, important to note: This is ONLY on U.S. Netflix!

Oh and speaking of Earp Expo, while a great time was certainly had by all, showrunner Emily Andras did briefly touch on the state of the delay in production during the one panel on Friday:

So all of the hard work by Earpers and support for the show during this time does seem to be making quite an impact. We’re hopeful we’ll get even more good news soon!

And if you missed it, Bonnie and Kevin recorded some brief updates on the happenings during every day of Earp Expo for those who are curious:

So keep doing what you’re doing Earpers and hopefully we’ll have even more good news soon! Stay strong and #FightForWynonna!

#FightForWynonna Update – Day 90: May 22

While it’s been a little while since we posted an update that doesn’t mean we all haven’t been working hard supporting the show we all love! It’s been a quiet time for updates mainly because we haven’t had any public statements from IDW since early April. However, earlier today a press release about the recent IDW stock offering came out so we wanted to share that with all of you. A BIG thank you to Kayla, @ViewserAlert on Twitter, for providing her insights on this. You can check it out here…

In Wynonna Earp cast news we also recently found out that our own Tim Rozon will be part of a new SYFY program Vagrant Queen

Before you get worried that this might have an impact on his availability for Wynonna Earp check out his follow up tweet…

Lastly, we want to make sure that you were aware of our recent WayHaught season 3 podcast where we spoke with the always awesome Dominique Provost-Chalkley and Katherine Barrell! You can find that podcast here…

Tales of the Black Badge – A Wynonna Earp Fan Podcast #150 – Dominique Provost-Chalkley And Katherine Barrell (aka WayHaught) Season 3 Interview

#FightForWynonna Update – Day 60: April 22

The sun has finally started shining again as winter begins to leave us for good, and yet, still no Wynonna Earp! What gives? It’s hard to imagine that we’re now 60(!) days into this #FightForWynonna, but thankfully Earpers seem to have fully embraced this marathon and we fight on! While there’s no real news to report in this briefing, we did want to check in with the fandom and make sure everyone was aware of some recent happenings. Everyone has been doing a great job at continuing to keep the noise level high and not letting the #FightForWynonna die down. Keep going!

While there’s no concrete news, IDW Entertainment did tweet the following on April 11:

This tweet came prior to showrunner Emily Andras and stars Dominique Provost-Chalkley and Kat Barrell appearing at ClexaCon in Las Vegas from April 12-14. While there, Andras addressed the #FightForWynonna, thanked fans for showing up for the show and told fans that all of the efforts made by Earpers have “made such an enormous difference.” She said that fans shouldn’t give up hope and to “just please keep yelling, if that’s OK? Thank you.” For more of her comments check out this The TV Junkies article.

“I just have never bet against you and would never bet against you. More importantly, you shouldn’t bet against you. I’m very hopeful that we’re gonna get it done.” – Emily Andras, at ClexaCon

If you want to see the full ClexaCon panel, it is available, as well as some great BTS material here:

ClexaCon 2019 – Behind the Scenes with Kat, Dom and Emily

Also at ClexaCon, Bonnie and Kevin discussed the #FightForWynonna, as well as other Earp fandom related topics in their live episode of the Tales of the Black Badge podcast. The full recording of that can be found here:

Tales of the Black Badge – A Wynonna Earp Fan Podcast #146 – ClexaCon 2019 Live Tales of the Black Badge

Finally, as the #FightForWynonna rages on, the billboards in Times Square continue to go strong. There have now been over 100 billboards in support of Wynonna Earp and Bonnie and Kevin did another podcast to learn a little more about the phenomenon. In it, they speak to Lauren (@Lorenzos_world), the Earper who had the idea for the first billboard, Jill (@nedleysoffice), who along with many other NYC area Earpers goes out and takes pictures to bring back to the fandom and Peter, the owner of Big Sign Message, the company that facilitates the billboards appearing in Times Square. Be sure and give this podcast a listen here:

Tales of the Black Badge – A Wynonna Earp Fan Podcast #147 – Earper Billboards

This fight continues to be a long, drawn out process, but as Emily said, all the noise you’re making and fan art that is being created all matters and helps. We’ve not come this far to stop now! Keep going and stay noisy, Earpers!

————————————————————————————————————————————-

#FightForWynonna Update – Day 39: April 1

Congratulations, Earpers! You did it! Almost exactly 3 years to the date Wynonna Earp premiered (April 1, 2016), fans proved how strong their love for the show truly is. Dominique Provost-Chalkley was presented with the Audience Choice Award on Sunday night at the Canadian Screen Awards. Not only did Earpers ensure that Provost-Chalkley won the award, but also that Kat Barrell was voted into the Top 3 Finalists for the award. That persistence paid off as Provost-Chalkley took to the stage (along with Barrell) to accept her award. In her acceptance speech, she made sure to shout out the #FightForWynonna and thank all Earpers. Be sure to check out this really special moment here:

Dominique and Kat were joined at the CSA awards by Melanie Scrofano and showrunner Emily Andras. Emily shared several photos of them all getting ready together on her Instagram, as well as the finished product once they were all set to attend the awards:

While the cast was representing Wynonna Earp at the CSAs, things continued to go strong down in Earp Square. Writers Noelle Carbone and Shelley Scarrow made their way to NYC to check out the billboards on Saturday night. The writers greeted the NYC Earper billboard crew and then were surprised to find themselves up on the big screen in Times Square thanks to some sneaky Earpers.

Seeing the Wynonna Earp cast and Emily out and about at the CSAs, with Dom winning the award and coupled with the writers visiting Earp Square, means visibility for the show and the #FightForWynonna remains high. That’s exactly what we need and want as this continues to become more and more of a marathon. Recently, we (Kevin, Bonnie and Bridget) got together to discuss this very thing as part of our most recent #FightForWynonna podcast.

Tales of the Black Badge – A Wynonna Earp Fan Podcast #145 – Fight For Wynonna Update March 29, 2019

Finally, we briefly want to mention the IDW offer memo to shareholders that came out on Friday, March 29. In this memo, which can be quite lengthy (55 pages!) and confusing to those of us who aren’t familiar with the business, IDW is looking to raise up to $25 million from existing shareholders. In short, IDW continues to work and look for ways to keep their promise and find the funds to begin production on Season 4.

The biggest takeaway for Earpers in all of the most recent happenings is that while we can’t always see or be told what is happening behind the scenes, it would seem that things are indeed being worked. IDW is a multi-million dollar company and these types of deals aren’t worked out overnight. As much as we would love the process to be sped up, it’s important for Earpers to stay the course, keep the noise level high and the #FightForWynonna going strong!

————————————————————————————————————————————-

#FightForWynonna Update – Day 28: March 21

Well the #FightForWynonna rages on and Earpers continue to show amazing support for this cast and crew. The Canadian Academy announced today that BOTH Dominique Provost-Chalkley and Katherine Barrell are in the Final 3 for the Cogeco Fund Audience Award. You heard that right, Wynonna Earp makes up 2 of the 3 spots for the award that will be presented live at the Canadian Screen Awards on March 31 at 8 p.m. on CBC. It’s an award that truly aims to give the “power to the people” and allows audiences to vote for their favorite Canadian in film, television or digital media.

Earpers have been diligently voting for BOTH members of WayHaught throughout this entire #FightForWynonna and with only 10 days to go, there’s no stopping now. How awesome would it be to show IDW, SYFY, Space Channel and anyone else out there listening that Wynonna Earp is an award-winning show with a fandom that makes our support known time and time again?

So head on over to the Canadian Academy’s website and cast your votes, via email and social media, for Dominique and Kat:

VOTE HERE for the Audience Choice Award

Besides just voting up to 100 votes using the link above, Earpers can vote for Kat and Dom in a variety of ways using Facebook and Twitter. You just need to make sure to use the appropriate hashtags for your votes to count. Check out Heather’s thread below for more details and instructions on how to do that:

Speaking of Kat and Dom, they got in on the billboard action in Times Square last night with a couple of billboards showing their support for what Earpers have been doing. With all the signs that went up last night, that brings the total of #FightForWynonna billboards to 82! (Special thanks to Allison for her continuously updating thread that captures them all!)

While we’re no WayHaught, the three of us (Kevin, Bonnie and Bridget) also wanted to make sure Earpers knew how much we appreciate the hard work, dedication, creativity and amazing spirit that has been shown throughout this #FightForWynonna. So you guessed it, we also took out our own billboard in Earp Square on Wednesday night. A huge, huge, HUGE thank you again to all of the amazing NYC Earpers that continue to trudge out to Times Square night after night in order to photograph and video these for the rest of the fandom.

So it’s Day 28 in this fight, but we’re still feeling very positive. It’s sometimes hard to remind ourselves, but this is a marathon and not a sprint. It’s certainly can get frustrating at times, but we have to trust that business decisions are being made and worked on diligently by those in the position to do so. They just aren’t always made as fast as we’d like, right?

Keeping the visibility of this fandom at a high level is still the priority. The social media noise is still huge! Voting for WayHaught for the Audience Choice Award is huge and matters a ton! We continue to monitor the situation closely and will keep updates coming. Stay tuned here and on social media for any changes, but for now keep doing what you’re doing, Earpers. We have no doubt that it’s working!

#FightForWynonna Update – Day 22: March 15

You know that saying that “any press is good press”? There was a new article published today by the Hollywood Reporter. It featured comments from Adam Wyden, the founder of the New York-based hedge fund ADW, which owns 9 percent of IDW Media Holdings. In case you missed it, you can find it here:

‘Wynonna Earp’: Inside the Fight to Save Syfy’s Cult Hit

It’s very easy and understandable to see why some Earpers were upset with comments made in the piece, and we won’t pretend and act like we didn’t have some of the very same feelings about them ourselves. However, it’s important to remember this is simply one shareholder of IDW. As the Hollywood Reporter mentions in the piece, all IDW reps actually said was that they stood by their initial comments and dedication to the show.

There’s a reason why no one from the Wynonna Earp cast or crew, IDW itself, SYFY, Space Channel or Seven24 is quoted in this article. They are all actively working to figure out a solution to the problem and find ways to get production on Season 4 up and rolling again. Mr. Wyden is simply a hedge fund manager with a large amount of money at stake here, but not in charge of any of the actual making of the television series.

As for comments in the article that make it seem like the future of Wynonna Earp hinges solely on a streaming deal being worked out? Well, we would just tell Earpers to keep doing what we’ve been doing. We know at times it’s frustrating to hear over and over again “stay the course. Stay the course,” but it’s true and we can’t let this deter us. We cannot forget that this just means we’re making a difference and that we’ve got to keep doing what we’ve been doing because it’s working.

This article also can’t let us forget who we are as a fandom. We aren’t saying you can’t be mad and upset at some of the points in the piece, as we said it’s only natural. But Earpers should be proud of the way they’ve handled themselves throughout this entire #FightForWynonna. You’ve taken the concept of “Polite #NoChill” to new levels and we have no doubt that will continue from here. So while some quotes in the article may have made you a little upset, remember there were some pretty great ones as well, like the following point made by Bonnie:

“We know that financial issues are a big part of what makes or breaks the shows we love, but it can’t be the only thing,” Ferrar says. “Networks and media companies should care about building their brand and about the loyalty of their viewers. We want networks to know that this fandom is loud and mighty and passionate. We will support all of the networks and companies that continue to produce Wynonna Earp. From attending conventions around the world and buying merchandise to buying comics, we are all in as a fandom and we are loyal.”

Late this afternoon IDW Publishing posted the following tweet…

So keep tweeting, Facebook messaging and emailing IDW.

Outside of IDW, keep the pressure on Netflix to make Season 3 and beyond available. If you’re inclined to seek out other streaming options at this time, feel free to email whoever you’d like. For now, we will mainly focus on the following:

  • Ask Netflix Directly: Submit Wynonna Earp Season 3 via their website form.
  • Tweet: Tag @Netflix and ask for Season 3 and beyond.
    • International Earpers: Tweet your country specific Netflix account in addition to the @Netflix account.

Before this update ends though, we want to give a huge THANK YOU and shout out to Wynonna Earp cast members Tim Rozon and Michael Eklund who joined fans in person in Times Square last night to watch it become “Earp Square” for another night.

For over an hour, Rozon and Eklund hung out with fans, talked and took selfies, proving once again they are right here beside us in this fight for Wynonna Earp. Thank you, Tim and Michael!!!

#FightForWynonna Update – Day 20: March 13

It’s now 20 days into our #FightForWynonna, and it’s been clear that Earpers show no signs of slowing down. It’s also now a good time to start bringing in more casual fans of the show, fans who may not be as active on social media and get them up to speed with the situation. In order to do this, and to get other fans caught up with the fight in the quickest way possible, we’ve updated the post at www.fightforwynonna.com. Please share this site with others and feel free to point to it when discussing the fight.

At 20 days in, this also seemed like a good time for Kevin, Bonnie and Bridget to get together and talk about the #FightForWynonna in podcast form. In this episode, we discuss the timeline of the fight so far, what efforts have already been done, as well as the strategy behind our current approach moving forward. We also detail how important ALL Earpers are to this fight, and why we want each and every Earper to feel that no matter how you can contribute, it ALL matters and adds value. Take a listen here:

Tales of the Black Badge #144 – #FightForWynonna

As for what Earpers can continue to do as the silence from IDW, SYFY and everyone else wears on? Simply put: we can’t stop the noise. We keep saying it, but we have to keep it up at the point.

We need to keep the pressure on IDW. They own the rights to this show and these characters. While we’ve not heard publicly from SYFY or Space Channel since Friday, February 22, we still firmly believe that they remain committed to Wynonna Earp and thus, need to stay pressuring IDW to put the show we all love back on our screens. So keep tweeting, Facebook messaging and emailing IDW.

Outside of IDW, another player in this fight that could really help things out and be the hero that we need is Netflix. This is an area that is huge for international Earpers in particular. Only Seasons 1 and 2 of Wynonna Earp are currently available for streaming on Netflix. If they would pick up the rights to stream Season 3 and beyond, that could be a HUGE step in getting production started back up again. This is why we need ALL Earpers, not just international ones, to keep the pressure on Netflix to make Season 3 and beyond available. This can be done in two big ways:

  • Ask Netflix Directly: Submit Wynonna Earp Season 3 via their website form.
  • Tweet: Tag @Netflix and ask for Season 3 and beyond.
    • International Earpers: Tweet your country specific Netflix account in addition to the @Netflix account.

It was also great to see some more press coverage on our #FightForWynonna from The Mary Sue in this piece by Jessica Mason:

Earpers Won’t Give Up the Fight for Wynonna

Finally, we also realize that 20 days into this fight we may need some theme days to start happening to keep things fresh, light and fun while we are making all this social media noise. Keep following us for any #FightForWynonna updates, as well as any fun theme days we may do. Also, if you have a fun theme that could work don’t be afraid to suggest it!

————————————————————————————————————————————-

#FightForWynonna Update – Wed., March 6 – 10 a.m.

Hey there, Earpers! Another day marches forward in our #FightForWynonna and we wanted to first address some news about IDW that came out yesterday. Many fans saw the press release about ADW, a hedge fund that’s a major shareholder of IDW Media Holdings (the company that owns IDW Entertainment), seeking sale of IDW. If you’re anything like us, the press release was pretty confusing to read if you’re not up on all kinds of business jargon, and seeing the word “sale” may have induced some panic. We spent yesterday trying to take in the news, break it down and see what this all truly means going forward in the #FightForWynonna.

Thankfully, as is so often the case, one of this fandom’s many smart members went ahead and created a Twitter thread that actually breaks down what this news means in a way that is easy to understand. So instead of us trying to explain things, we’ll refer you over to Kayla’s (@ViewserAlert) thread about the press release:

We cannot overstate Kayla’s final message of that thread, which is to say DON’T STOP FIGHTING! We are this far into the fight and have made such a difference so far that we need to stay the course and keep up all the noise we’re making. Keep showing IDW, SYFY and Space Channel how much we love this show, what it means to us and why it’s so important to see this story play out on screen.

We’ve said it multiple times, but the social media noise, the emails and the phone calls are all making a big difference. It can feel at times like you’re shouting into a void, but know each and every one of us in the fandom are being heard. Promise!

While no Earper should feel that they need to spend a dime to be fully in this fight with everyone else, there does still seem to be quite a lot of movement as far as Earpers taking the #FightForWynonna to Times Square in NYC. Please continue to use the #WynonnaInTimesSquare hashtag to follow the latest activity on the billboards, and if you are thinking of purchasing one, please first reach out to Jill (@NedleysOffice).

Jill and all the NYC Earpers have done an amazing job at getting organized so they can be sure to provide coverage on all these signs. We can’t say “thank you” enough to them for going the extra mile to capture these Wynonna Earp images up in the big, bright lights of Times Square.

Oh, and in case you missed it, it looks like our leading lady, Melanie Scrofano, may have something up her sleeve and a little billboard planned for later tonight that Earpers may want to check out:

So keep up the great work, Earpers! Your Polite #NoChill knows no bounds and it matters now more than ever! Stay strong! Stay fighting!

————————————————————————————————————————————-

#FightForWynonna Update – Sunday, March 3 – 4:30 p.m.

We love the enthusiasm of the Earpers and how excited everyone is getting by all the Times Square billboards going up in support of #FightForWynonna. It’s truly something to see and there’s more and more activity happening on the hashtag:

#WynonnaInTimesSquare

In order to coordinate the efforts better, we’re asking that if you do purchase a billboard, or are thinking of purchasing one, please first reach out to Jill (@NedleysOffice). Jill and a great group of NYC Earpers are working their best to get coverage on the billboards and photos for those who have purchased them. We’d also suggest including www.fightforwynonna.com in signs to direct people here for more information.

However, it’s important to remember that these Earpers also have full-time jobs and are doing their absolute best. They also have guidance on times that may be most beneficial as to when to run the signs, as well as when it’d be easiest to get Earpers there to take a photo of the billboard.

We can’t stress enough that it is in everyone’s best interest to first DM Jill on twitter to coordinate efforts on any billboards going up and before any $$ is spent. Thank you in advance and thank you to Jill and all the NYC Earpers helping in these efforts!

————————————————————————————————————————————-

#FightForWynonna Update – Sunday, March 3 – 10 a.m.

It may be the weekend, but that doesn’t mean that Earpers slow down one bit. Yesterday we discussed the need to keep being loud and proud about our love for Wynonna Earp and not taking our foot off the pedal in this #FightForWynonna. Of course, that meant that Earpers used their #NoChill to absolutely TAKE OVER Times Square in New York City. In case you missed it, not just one, but FOUR, #FightForWynonna billboards appeared in Times Square last night:

Since that happened, we’ve seen and heard the chatter that Earpers are looking to take things to the next level, and we get that. We do. At this time, lots of ideas and initiatives are being discussed and investigated. We are trying to see what’s the best approach and as always, working as one fandom is critical to our success. So while we do that, please stay tuned here at www.fightforwynonna.com for the latest updates.

That being said, we know the enthusiasm of the Earper fandom cannot be stopped, especially when it comes to showing our love for this show and this cast. We get that and we love you for it. While we investigate the other avenues, we know plans are already being discussed for more Times Square signs. We may look to organize those further in the future, but for now, we thought if there are any Earpers looking to buy signs or coordinate that the following hashtag could be used on tweets to better help these people connect:

#WynonnaInTimesSquare

That way this hashtag can be used to see who all has purchased a sign, when the signs are being displayed or if Earpers want to team up in order to buy more signs. With all of this, please keep in mind that we still may need to do more things that involve funding or donations in the future so as to make the biggest impacts we can. More signs aren’t a bad thing, but everyone has limited financial resources so it might be best to save your/our money for bigger things to come.  That’s a personal choice.

Here’s some important information to review before purchasing a billboard…

Also, as great as these billboards in Times Square are, it’s not the only thing that can be done. You absolutely do NOT have to spend one dime to be a good Earper and help in this fight. We can all make a difference and nothing is too small. Social media noise is gold and goes a long, long way. As we stressed yesterday, we need to continue to be very loud and noisy with our Polite #NoChill across social media platforms, emails and calling. This all costs nothing and means the world to the fight.

A final cool initiative that started yesterday that we’d love to see continue is putting a face to and making the #FightForWynonna personal. We’d love for IDW, SYFY and all powers that be to see just how far reaching Wynonna Earp is and that Earpers come from all over the world.

You don’t have to be in the bright lights of Times Square to hold a #FightForWynonna sign! Is there some recognizable landmark in your town? Even if not, maybe just take a photo of you out and about in town with a #FightForWynonna sign and tell us where you’re fighting from. Here’s a few fun examples so far:

As always, we can’t thank all you Earpers enough for your passion, enthusiasm, humor and all out #NoChill in this fight. We all matter in it and everyone is making a difference. It’s hard and sometimes feels like we’re shouting into the void, but we promise you that you aren’t. It’s making a difference and we can’t stop now!

————————————————————————————————————————————-

#FightForWynonna Update – Saturday, March 2

Now that we’ve gone just over a week since hearing from IDW regarding the future of the not one but two seasons of Wynonna Earp that have been ordered, we thought it may be a good time for a brief update. The #FightForWynonna is still going stronger than ever before and Earpers have been nothing short of fantastic. With no major news to update from IDW or SYFY since they made their statements last week, we nonetheless remain optimistic that Earpers can and have made a HUGE difference in this fight.

Our #NoChill seems to know no bounds, as Earpers not only stood out in the cold so they could appear on the TODAY show with signs for #FightForWynonna, but then the fight even made its way to a billboard in Times Square! All these things make one thing perfectly clear: Earpers are ALL IN on this fight! We’re not going anywhere, or slowing down, until we get some answers about Season 4.

However, we never want to forget to stop and take a moment to say “Thank you, Earpers” for being so enthusiastic and passionate with your Polite #NoChill. Showrunner Emily Andras seems to feel the same way, tweeting Friday night:

While it’s certainly great to hear that, it’s imperative that we don’t stop or slow down now. All of this noise, this enthusiasm, this passionate outpouring of love that Earpers are finding ways across so many mediums to convey to the world is making a huge difference. It’s proving time and again that we will not be ignored, and that we are here to fight for what we love, and get some answers about its future.

This one week in the #FightForWynonna may have felt like a month at times, but it helps to know we’re all in this together. Every single email, phone call or tweet in support of the show helps and makes a difference. Keep sending them. Keep calling. Keep tweeting and showing your support in whatever way you feel comfortable. Everything — big or small — has power and significance and matters. We all know how this show has changed our lives and the power it has. Let’s keep showing that to the world and that we’re here, staying and not going anywhere. Keep fighting, Earpers. It matters.

#FightForWynonna Update – PHASE 5

PHASE 5: Phone Call Campaign

What to Say:

While we know picking up the phone and making a call isn’t first nature to most of us these days and not necessarily something we all enjoy doing. However, in the spirit of doing whatever it takes in this #FightForWynonna, we are asking that Earpers call IDW to ask about the state of Wynonna Earp Season 4 production.

Since interactions over the phone can make people anxious with just the thought of it, we did want to provide a bit of an outline as to what you should say when you call. Something along the lines of the following would be perfect!

“Hi, my name is _____ and I’m calling Mr. Jonas to show my support for Wynonna Earp, to thank him for producing Wynonna Earp in the past and to ask him to please honor his word to produce Season 4 of the series. SYFY has stated that they are all in and have already ordered two seasons of the show. I’m calling, along with other Wynonna Earp fans to ask IDW and Mr. Jonas to make that happen and to continue this story on screen.”

Who to Call:

  • Howard Jonas, Chairman of the Board, IDW Media Holidings:
    • Phone: (212)658-1450 and then PRESS “1” Mr. Jonas
    • NOTE: This is a U.S. phone number.

Don’t Forget (Important!):

Earpers, please always be aware that you’re calling a place of business and that we always want to be polite and kind in any of these interactions. It goes without saying, but please try to be courteous and respectful when making these phone calls.

#FightForWynonna Update – Tuesday, February 26

It’s hard to believe, but it’s really only been a little over 5 days since news broke that Wynonna Earp fans may have a fight on our hands when it comes to Seasons 4 and beyond of the show. Earpers have been absolutely FABULOUS in taking to social media, email, and various other forms to let IDW and everyone else that makes this show how much we love the show and want it to continue on. The Wynonna Earp fandom has flawlessly been executing the #FightForWynonna plan that we have outlined in the four phases below in this article.

That’s why we wanted to update you all to let you know that IT IS WORKING! The story of our fight for Wynonna Earp is being picked up and talked about by various news organizations, such as this article just published this morning, and the social media buzz created by Earpers has been nothing short of amazing! We wanted to take a quick moment to say “Thank you, Earpers” but also “Don’t stop now!”

Keep tweeting, emailing, sending messages on Facebook and appealing to Netflix to add Season 3 of Wynonna Earp to their catalog. There’s no doubt that every one of you is being heard and that your voice in this fight matters. As always, should anything new arise, we will update you as soon as we know, but just never question that we as a fandom are being heard and that everything you all are doing matters. It matters so much. So full steam ahead! Keep this #FightForWynonna and our Polite #NoChill going strong until we get this show and these characters back on our screens! You’re all doing awesome!

12ImIn2

————————————————————————————————————————————-

If you’re an Earper then you know that this winter and hiatus has felt especially long and cold. With little to no news about the upcoming Season 4 to keep us warm, and shooting not even starting yet, many a Wynonna Earp fan has started to question just what may be going on with our little shit show. While the answers to all the questions that Earpers have may not be readily available, something is definitely brewing and it’s something that’s called into question the fate of the show like never before.

You can learn more details about the situation in Mo Ryan‘s recent article – Wynonna Earp’s Future Is Suddenly in Limbo.

With a potential Season 4 in jeopardy, it’s more important than ever before to FIGHT for the show we love. Sure, we’ve done this in the past for renewal pushes and what not, but believe us when we say it’s CRITICAL that all Earpers take notice and step up into this fight.

Specific details aren’t available at this time, but we do know that we need Earpers to do the following and let the Powers That Be know:

  • Why you love the show
  • Why investing in this show is so important
  • Why this fandom is so powerful

The Wynonna Earp fandom has always been at its most powerful when we can all work as one unit, and while we promise to continue to update the fandom if and when more information becomes available, in the meantime we wanted to help get everyone on the same page as to what each and every Wynonna Earp fan can do in order to help the show and ensure that Season 4 happens. We all have a voice and can use the power of social media to make sure that it is heard.

Channel all that excitement, nerves and energy into dedicating ourselves to this fight and making sure that IDW, SYFY and Space Channel all know just how much we love Wynonna Earp and how powerful this fandom can be. Check out the steps below for exactly what we are asking Wynonna Earp fans to do on social media (for now we’re focusing on Twitter only). If tactics change or more news becomes available we will update everyone as we go because remember Earpers, we is the team!

PHASE 1: Twitter

What to tweet:

Do what Earpers do best: be loud and proud about what Wynonna Earp means to you, why you love the show and everything it does great: from multi-layered female characters to the importance of representation. Let them know why Wynonna Earp is special and different from the hundreds of other shows out there.

Also, be vocal about all the ways that love leads you to support the show, from watching it over and over every week, to telling anyone who will listen why they should also watch it, to flying all over to follow the cast to conventions all year long. Make sure they know how much you love this show and are willing to support it in all kinds of ways and that you aren’t going anywhere any time soon!

Who to tag:

Hashtags to use:

Again, it’s best to all be on the same page here. Earpers, please just use the following two hashtags in all tweets:

  • #WynonnaEarp
  • #FightForWynonna

PHASE 2: Email Campaign

What to Email:

Just as we are asking you do with the Twitter campaign above, send emails stating why you love Wynonna Earp, what the show means to you and how it has affected your life. The more personal your email the better! Share your stories, photos, experiences with this show and why what Wynonna Earp is doing is so special to you personally! Also share the many ways you support the show and will continue to do so moving forward. If you have many reasons and stories to share, please feel free to send multiple emails stating that!

Who to Email:

Send all emails to:

Don’t Forget:

Earpers, please let them know you’re doing this in regards to Season 4 of Wynonna Earp and that you will continue to #FightForWynonna!

PHASE 3: Facebook

What to write:

Just like the Twitter campaign above, we’re moving the fight to multiple platforms and are asking that you use Facebook to be loud and proud about what Wynonna Earp means to you. Also like above, feel free to make the post personal and about why exactly this show means so much to you.

Where to write it:

  • IDW’s Facebook page: (@idwentertainment)
    • Write a post on the IDW Facebook wall. Select Posts on the left hand menu. Use the Create Post section to write your message. Once you do, it’ll appear in the Visitor Posts section of the page.
    • FB.png

Hashtags to use:

Please use the following two hashtags in all wall posts:

  • #WynonnaEarp
  • #FightForWynonna

Phase 4: Netflix

What to do:

So often we get asked “What can international Earpers do to help the fight?” Of course the reach of Wynonna Earp is far and wide and extends way beyond just the U.S. and Canada. So international Earpers this is for you, but really ALL Earpers can please join in this phase as well.

So far only Seasons 1 and 2 of Wynonna Earp are available on Netflix. Where is Season 3? What does this mean for future seasons that we’re fighting for? Will they be available as well? That’s what we want to ensure!

In addition to the tweets above and why you’re fighting for Wynonna, love the show and the ways you’re willing to support it, we’re asking that we also tweet Netflix and submit the show via their website to let them know how much we want Seasons 3 and beyond on their platform.

Who to tag:

  • Netflix – (@netflix)
    • If you’re international please also feel free to tag your country’s specific Netflix account

Hashtags to use:

As with everything else, please continue to use the following two hashtags in tweets:

  • #WynonnaEarp
  • #FightForWynonna

Submit Wynonna Earp To Netflix Via Their Website:

We also need Earpers to submit Wynonna Earp season 3 to Netflix via their Request TV Shows or Movies page which is located here.

Just think of all the Wynonna Earp rewatches that we’ve all planned in our futures. We need Netflix to make that happen and to bring in new viewers. Let’s make sure Netflix is also aware of how much we love Wynonna Earp and how grateful we would be to them if they put Seasons 3 and beyond on their platform.

Jonas

Don’t Forget (Important!):

Earpers, please always be aware that you’re calling a place of business and that we always want to be polite and kind in any of these interactions. It goes without saying, but please try to be courteous and respectful when making these phone calls.
